Good times...no, scratch that. Great times.

So, I've been a married lady for almost two months now. Congratulations to me! We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon which was so, so fun! What a beautiful place!!

We stayed 3 and a half days on Oahu (because I wanted to see Pearl Harbor. And we never got to see Pearl Harbor) and then went to Kauai for three and a half more days. So awesome! The water is beautiful. I loved just sitting out on the beach on Kauai and watching the waves crash.

Ismael has been experiencing lots of new things here in the U.S.A. Halloween, for example. They don't celebrate Halloween in Ecuador the way we do here. So Ismael carved his very first jack-o-lantern, and dressed up like Staff Sergeant Hadley F. Morrison, and had a great time handing out candy to kids and going to the Harvest Festival at CCV. Unfortunately, I can't find the pictures, but I assure you, his jack-o-lantern was awesome. Imagine the first jack-o-lantern you carved when you were a child...yeah, it looked about like that :-).

A couple weekends ago we took Ismael to Sequoia to see the redwoods. That was cool. They don't have trees like that in Ecuador. He couldn't put the camera down.

Last weekend we celebrated his 21st birthday with a party here at our house. We sang him a traditional Morrison birthday song which would have made Grandpa so proud.

And then smashed his face in the cake following Ecuadorian tradition.

So, that was great. The cake was pink because pink is his favorite color. Just kidding...I think pink scares him a little. So naturally we prey upon that fear as often as possible.

Today, on his actual birthday, I took him ice skating. It was fun (cold) and we had a great (cold) time! Happy Birthday, Ismael!
